TD Transitional Services LLC was founded on a plain idea: a bed by itself does not change anybody's life. In Shelbyville, Indiana, we run housing for men coming out of inpatient care or incarceration, and we run it the way it has to be run, with structure, with safety, and with somebody paying attention.
The founders are not strangers to this. One of them lived it. That is the whole reason this house exists, and it is why the rules are not negotiable and the door is not complicated.
Structure first, then everything else.
Safety
A drug-free house with screens, a live-in manager, and a curfew. Nobody's recovery survives a house where the rules bend for whoever is loudest.
A written plan
Personalized case plans that bridge the gap after treatment or release, connecting each man to the services and appointments he actually has to keep.
Reintegration
Work, accountability, and a record you can point at. Men leave with sober time, a work history, a rent history, and a reference that opens the next door.
Measured in the next
thirty days.
The transition after inpatient care or incarceration is where most people lose it, and it is where almost nobody is watching. We take that stretch seriously: safety, structure, and a place where a man can put his feet under him without the old life having a key to the door. Every man who holds it is one less person cycling back through the county's jail and the county's hospital.
Two organizations, one street
TD Transitional Services LLC owns and operates the housing. Redemption Ridge Foundation is a separate Indiana nonprofit that pays program fees at recovery residences, including this one, for men who cannot cover their first weeks. They are run by overlapping people and they are deliberately separate books, separate decisions, and separate front doors.
People who showed up.
Getting a house open takes trades, tools, and people willing to do the work before there is any money in it. These are the ones who did.
